my shopping trip
March 1st, 2003
Today I planned a shopping trip to Amsterdam to one of my favorite clothes stores called Mateloos. While we were driving to this shop we were passed by 2 fireengines with sirens. In the air we saw the police helicopter flying around. We made a joke about that the store might be on fire…. When we parked our car, we saw the smoke getting out of a apartment. This apartment was as good as above the shop we were going to…. After the fire was out, the firemen started throwing out burned furniture on the street. See the pictures. The cat of the people who lived in this apartment died because of the smoke… they carried the cat outside in a plastic bag :( After 40 minutes we were able to get into the store.

Tonight I went to a shoppingmal (Hilvertshof) in Hilversum where they have a store that sells Mac magazines, but it was closed. That means I probably have to wait till next week before I can go and get my (english/american) mac magazines….
But as we were walking past the Freerecordshop (music/moviestore) R. and I couldn’t resist ourself and bought some DVD’s :) here is the list with the IMDB scores:
*Star Wars – Attack of the Clones (7.5)
*Another Day in Paradise (6.1)
*Stephen King – This is Horror (not rated)
*Amelie (8.8)
*Ghost World (7.9)
*Queen of the Damned (4.9)
The last one is my favorite because I am a big fan of Anne Rice, so it kinda hurts seeing such bad ratings…. I might put in some good ratings by abusing the domainnames I have to get a lot of logins to get the score higher! :)
Star Wars was R.’s choice.
Next weekend will be a DVD watching weekend I think :)

First of all I stayed in bed till 1 pm :)
Then we went to Bataviastad in Lelystad. Its a outlet shopping *mall*, well outlet? not the way I am used to as outlets are in the States. Dont go there!!! unless you have size 36 and go for the brandnames and still want to pay fullprice but having the idea that it was cheaper cause it said outlet! :)
After that we drove to my parents and went for dinner at a Greek restaurant, which was very good. And now I am back home and in a few minutes my birthday is over.
